Hilton to open hotel in Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Hilt on hotels will open a 169-room hotel in Guanacaste starting October, 2008. Yesterday, Hilton’s web page announced that they signed an agreement with H.A.L. (Hoteles Aeropuerto) so that the Garden Inn franchise can start operations in Central America. H.A.L is a partner of the Enjoy Group, which is a Costa Rican enterprise.

Hilton Hotels Corporation has announced that it has signed multi-year management agreements with the Caribbean Real Estate Opportunity Fund 2005 for two resorts in Costa Rica.

Beginning in December 2007, the Company will manage a 202-room property in Guanacaste and a 410-room property Puntarenas as the first Hilton and Doubletree branded resorts in the country, respectively.
